Arctic Monkeys - NME advertisements
- This is interesting as Alex Turner has now a "new look" than previous styles. He looks very American and resembles John Travolta in Grease. This could support the biker look that has been achieved in the music video for "suck it and see" and the rest of the music videos in the album.
- This magazine NME shows the Arctic monkeys to be important as they are highlighted in red and a bigger font than the other artist titles who are name in blue and white. The colours on this page are the same as the American flag.
- It is very focused on the lead singer, not the rest of the band, as he is centered and his head is in-front of the NME logo.
- He is holding a record which again makes it look very musical-orientated as we would expect from a music magazine.
- The background is very plain making the foreground, Alex Turner, stand out more.
- Head overlaps NME logo - Common thing to be seen on magazine covers
- Holding a record, in fitting with the magazine covering the topic of "Record Store Day" also seen on the front cover
- This is another NME magazine cover for the arctic monkeys during the "Suck it and See" release, the fact the magazine released to magazines front covers with the band on shows the release was important.
- Like the other cover it does have the same colour scheme of red, white and blue, this is again emphasizing that the band was touring in America and the music video theme of "bikers".
- The headline also read "...on the run with the new-look" this is referencing the biker look as they are all wearing denim jackets like in the video.
